Implementing my Personal Context

Having set a personal context for myself for the year of BALANCE, I have started to consider the activity that would support me in achieving that outcome at a more integrated level.  The issues that are impacting my life, both personally and professionally, can be broadly broken into the following areas:

  • Clarity about my role and contribution to our Global business. As a Global shareholder where should I place my energy and time to achieve the best possible outcome for both myself and the business?
  • Define what my personal vision with the Global business is, and for myself - what would my life look like if ..... if I was to feel a deep sense of pride in what I have achieved and built, with both my family and business relationships?
  • Continue the investment in my own skills as a coach and leader of our business - I want to ensure that I continually acknowledge what is working well today and what I need to do differently to shift both my own energy and that of the business.
  • Manage all of my relationships more effectively, in both a business sense and a personal sense - what would that look like?  Relationships built on a deep platform of agreed values, with a context of LOVE BUSINESS, all of the business, including all of the people within it. What can I do differently to create a great commercial outcome for both my clients and myself and still ensure/enhance the wonderful cultural aspects of my relationships?

Having processed these and other questions for myself, I have set out the ETHOS that I will be focused on over the next 12 months as:

  1. VISION - mine. The business has a very clear VISION, this is an exercise about defining mine and what I want to achieve for myself over my life;
  2. DISTRIBUTION - providing maximum leverage from all my commercial relationships, creating a true WIN-WIN scenario for all; and
  3. COMMITMENT - to define the KPIs that drive all my activity - and drive that through all of my activity with rigour and depth.

The learning around this is how much more energised I am by having this clarity and focus.

The feeling I have is one of relief and calmness - that comes from knowing that I that made the right choices to focus my energy on.

Looking forward to being out in the field with you Mr Balance! Agree with Hilda's comments. See you soon in town.

I am a great believer in the law of attraction and truly believe that when you have clarity about your vision the resources you need will start to appear. On a personal note what I have been working on is creating a vision that is truly mine. What I mean by that is when I visualise the outcome, being very truthful about how I feel...is this something I am creating to please someone else or does it make me feel joyful.
