Context 2009: Easy Discipline

Last year I set and communicated my ‘Context' for the year - Acknowledgement. Personally and professionally I certainly hit that mark, with the ‘Best Wedding Ever' in September and business growth that managed to occur even while my beautiful wife and I sunned ourselves on the Amalfi Coast.
I plan on less ‘sunning' this year, not because of any economic slowdown (you may have heard about that; it's a media darling topic for now, but it too shall pass as soon as Paris Hilton goes to prison again). No, less sunning will occur because I'm choosing a big investment year, filled with profitable income and equity growth for my family, my team, and the many businesses I coach and guide.
I'm choosing that growth as a successful outcome with milestones throughout the year. As with last year, however, I'm focussing on the source issue for me - and that's Discipline.
Now right away for me and all the other undisciplined and ill-disciplined readers of my blog, that's a scary word. Conjures up images of compulsory boarding school study sessions and Vincent D'Onofrio in Full Metal Jacket. Rather than buying into the negativity (sound familiar?), I've just chosen to add the word Easy.
Discipline means results. And Easy means fun. This is going to be an amazing year.
What's your Context for 2009? And what opportunities do you plan to create in the 326 days until Christmas?
