I flagged last week that we at Shirlaws want to ensure this weekly email is both interesting and relevant to the change and growth you want to see in your business.
We hope that reading this and clicking through to the most relevant links each week is a valuable use of your time. That value can be enhanced by asking "How is this week's topic relevant to my business today?"
With each of the business links you read, also ask yourself how this is relevant to you and your team.
Given that, if you controlled the content of these emails, what would you like to see included? We'd love your feedback, by reply email or online.
The You Factor
Since your time is valuable, and you are committed to spending that time educating yourself to develop your business, you will enjoy reading about this most interesting and relevant of topics: You.
Why do Shirlaws clients get so much Value? (video)
This question was posed to our CEO Darren Shirlaw, and the 9 minute video is relevant to any business that knows a business coach. The Key? We've developed a simple process, and have the coaching skills to transfer our experience. This means our coaching, workshop and JV-partner clients are then forever able to leverage their own knowledge of their own business, to solve their own problems.
A Coaching Experience
If you want further insight in to coaching in practice, here's an unrelated company and one of their examples. If you want to use time more efficiently, spend 3 minutes reading this.
Seinfeld's Productivity Secret
No jokes here, just an important lesson for my dedicated team and its commitment to producing an interesting and relevant email each and every Friday: Deliver value and "Don't break the chain".
Intranet Joke of the Week
A small, sickly looking man is eating in a truck stop when three massive Bikies walk in.
The first biker approaches the man, and throws a cigarette into his meal.
The second biker walks over, and knocks the man's drink to the ground.
And the third biker looks the man in the eye, and unflinchingly upends the man's lunch onto his lap.
Without a word of protest, the small man pays the waitress, and quietly leaves the diner.
The first biker, proud of his superiority, gloats to the waitress: "Not much of a man, was he?"
To which the waitress replies "Not much of a driver, either. He's just backed his truck over three motorcycles."
Until next week, keep on truckin'
