Since you have an email address, I know you are already more technically brilliant than most Australian business people were just ten years ago.

With technology, though, it can be hard to determine what will become essential (like email), what will be an optional benefit to you, and what fads aren't worth wasting your time with.

Tech Trends are a particular passion of mine - that's why I've been asked to speak at Australia's E-Marketing Summit in November.

Intranet Joke of the Week

"I sent my son in here this morning for two pounds of cookies, but when I weighed them on my brand new, technologically-advanced, diamond-precise scales there was only 1.5 pounds of cookies. I demand you improve your technology and test the weight of your scales."
The baker looked at her calmly for a moment or two, and then replied:
"Madam. I suggest you test the weight of your son!"
