Marc Kernick
Marc's philosophy within business is to help companies build sustainable value. He uses his strategic and operational experience to unlock and develop potential opportunities and unblock barriers to progress by providing clarity and direction in a structured and practical way. Believing that relationships lie at the heart of a successful and motivated business, Marc attaches significant value to the development of a culture based on trust, shared values, open communication and a cohesive team spirit.
Marc has spent the majority of his business career working within the Grocery industry. After 18 years at Unilever in a variety of senior Sales and Marketing-related roles, he gained experience of Private Equity management prior to joining Shirlaws. He has worked with a range of businesses from large, international organisations to smaller, dedicated service providers. His primary responsibilities included developing strategic business relationships, integrating new management processes and structures and co-ordinating the delivery of customer and brand plans.
Marc is married to Lucy and has three children with whom his coaching skills are regularly put to the test! He has a deep Christian faith, an abiding interest in foreign cultures and a childhood love of sailing.
