Having worked with hundreds of companies as a trusted advisor, Paul understands and appreciates the business and legal challenges facing owners and managers.  As a Business Coach, Paul combines 25 years of business and legal experience with his passion for connecting business people to their work in a way that leads to deeper personal satisfaction and better bottom-line results.

Paul's "sweet-spot" is working with Professional Service firms, technology companies and hospitality companies.  He particularly enjoys helping innovative but underperforming companies develop strategies to reach their commercial potential and improve their culture. 

Before joining Shirlaws, Paul was a partner at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, a national law firm with 450 attorneys, where he was a corporate lawyer working  with privately-held companies.  His areas of specialization included Board and shareholder matters, private equity financing, intellectual property licensing and mergers & acquisitions.

Prior to practicing law, Paul was a consultant with the accounting firm of Laventhol & Horwath, and worked as a Systems Analyst for Sheraton Hotels.

Paul holds a Bachelors of Science from Cornell University and a Law Degree from Syracuse University School of Law, with honors.  He also holds a Masters in Intuition Medicine and is a Certified Life Coach.
