Dave is a founding coach in the Shirlaws New Zealand business. He is based in Auckland but operates nationally.

Dave has experience with a broad range of clients in both product and service industries. His strengths in coaching come from a real passion to uncover and crystallise the vision and goals of his clients at the deepest level. He is courageous enough to operate in the zone of uncertainty, asking tough questions. He holds the space until he and the client have a clear foundation from which to work. He balances humour and an ‘outside the box' style with the tenacity to understand and attack the detail when required.

His move to Shirlaws followed a successful career with a broad range of multinational companies including SC Johnson, Cerebos Greggs, DB Breweries, Heineken and Lion Nathan. Roles held were sales and marketing moving into business development and advisory roles later in his career.

Formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Auckland, a post graduate diploma in Direct Marketing from the NZDMA, plus a range of blue chip training from the organisations he worked for
