Tracy McElroy

Tracy McElroy

Tracy is one of Shirlaws New Zealand's founding coaches and is rapidly establishing herself as one of New Zealand's foremost experts on SME business functionality.  She has coached most of Shirlaws NZ's major clients, at Board, Executive Team and One-to-One levels, assisting them to achieve their visions for growth, profitability, work-life balance and wellbeing.

Prior to joining Shirlaws Tracy worked in the UK as a Business Consultant for Accenture, responsible for client strategic planning, organisational design and change and IT system implementation.  Her clients included British American Tobacco (Switzerland), Sega, the UK National Health Service (NHS) and various small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) particularly in the IT and Financial Services sectors.

During her time in the UK, she and her husband also started, managed and grew several of their own businesses in the construction and tourism fields. This experience was invaluable to transition her corporate consulting skills into a meaningful business coaching approach to support SME clients.

Prior to her consulting career, she spent nine years working with ex-New Zealand Dairy Board (now absorbed into Fonterra) in a range of senior roles across New Zealand, Morocco and Europe.

In late 2005 she relocated to Auckland to bring up her family in New Zealand. She now lives in Christchurch, and regularly commutes to Wellington and around New Zealand to support ongoing client commitments.

Tracy holds a Diploma in Management from the UK Open University, a Diploma in Dairy Science and Technology from Massey University, as well as an Honours Bachelor Degree of Biotechnology and Bio Process Engineering, also from Massey University.

Tracy has received fantastic feedback and references from her many clients and roles due to an outstanding track record of project successes, her absolute commitment to clients and their business challenges and highly developed consulting and coaching skill-sets that support success.
