Darryl joined Shirlaws in 1999.  He has built a reputation for introducing functional structure and discipline into the businesses that he works with. His systems-based approach supports business owners to focus their energy on managing the strategy and growth of their business while delegating more responsibilities to staff and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

Darryl's strengths are attributed to his engineering training and project management experience, gained in previous roles. He started his professional career as a Mechanical Engineer in the energy industry. After nine years with the company and numerous role changes he left his position as Commercial Manager to join a management consulting business. It was during this time that he was reacquainted with the small and medium business (SME) market and related to the unique business management needs of this sector. He has experience working with businesses from a wide range of industries including Financial Services, Legal, Accounting, Engineering, Arts and music, Training, Manufacturing and Automotive.

Originally from Australia, Darryl relocated with Shirlaws to the UK in 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (B. Eng (Mech)) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
