Peter Mayne

Peter joined Shirlaws in May 2008.  He assists corporations and executive management teams to maximise shareholder value through functional and strategic positioning.

Peter has extensive general management and institutional fund management experience across ICT, Transport, Banking and Gaming industries and is well qualified to coach business and mentor senior management. 

Peter has been very successful at helping businesses grow throughout his career through a variety of methods.  He has proven very successful at leading companies through restructuring exercises as he did with Getronics Middle East when he was Country Manager, and also at the AWA Gaming and Wagering Operation.  He has also implemented financial modeling and cost management systems for various companies.  Whilst with Wang Australia he sold and delivered professional and consulting business services which grew the business to USD 12 million.  Other companies Peter has worked with include Honeywell, Fujitsu and Qantas. 

Peter holds a Master of Business Administration, Diploma of Advanced Accounting and Bachelor of Commence from University of Queensland. In addition Peter is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Accountants, Fellow of the Securities Institute of Australia, Member of Project Management Institute and a Member of the Graduate Management Association of Australia.

Peter has always maintained a healthy fitness regime and a passion and love for the great master painters of the 16th century. Of particular interest to Peter is the work of Vermeer and his 31 master pieces which he has inspected in galleries in Europe, UK and the USA.
