Iain joined Shirlaws (UK) in 2003. He has a background in both company start-ups and international business development in the food, medical products, engineering and pharmaceutical sectors.

Prior to joining Shirlaws, Iain was a senior Performance Coach with RLG International, a worldwide performance improvement organisation with the major players in the oil industry. He worked beyond benchmarking to positively impact financial performance and corporate culture through front-line engagement.

Iain has founded several successful ventures in the biotech industry during and after his time with the Scottish Development Agency. He has also served on the Boards of several technology businesses as either Director or Chairman. He works closely with a number of ‘angel' investor groups to complement their activities by coaching business skills into their company investments.

Iain has an MBA degree from London Business School and was formerly on the Scottish Committee of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
