Rowan loves coaching individuals and teams in businesses - from owner-managed enterprises to FTSE listed corporates.

His passion is to foster teamwork in organisations, helping people to enjoy working more effectively together to achieve sustainable growth.  His specialism is in coaching clients to create a clear position in the market and to help make them famous for it by bringing that positioning to life.  Rowan also loves helping clients build long term business relationships that open new channels to market and working with sales and marketing teams to improve sales performance.

A background in PR, Rowan began his career in corporate communications before joining one of the UK's top PR agencies.  There he led a team servicing corporate clients in the financial services, technology, publishing and retail sectors.

He went on to run his own sports PR consultancy where he helped his corporate and larger SME clients build brand equity through sport.

Since being coached himself some ten years ago, Rowan explored a variety of coaching methodologies and training before joining Shirlaws in 2007.  He now splits his time between working with clients in London and working closer to home in Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley where he is rapidly expanding Shirlaws' business operations.

Rowan lives with his wife and two young children on the edge of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds.
