Jan joined Shirlaws in 2006 after running her own successful company for 14 years, delivering strategic HR planning, organisational development and competency framework design and application. She has over twenty-six years' experience of human resource development issues, having worked with leading private and public sector organisations in the UK, mainland Europe, Scandinavia and the United States.

Jan's experience spans various sectors including manufacturing, food industry, software development, electronics, forestry, marketing, banking and arts-based organisations. Previous UK clients include National Australia Group, Sun Microsystems, Danisco Flexible, Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Prison Service and the Isle of Man Government.

A fluent French speaker, Jan is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and an experienced user of SHL Job Analysis, Competency Development Tools, Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ) and psychometric tests.
