Gaynor joined Shirlaws in 2008 and is passionate about helping clients realise their potential - both in terms of their businesses and personal lives.  With a background in HR she has a real ability to build sustainable, trusting relationships and clients love her straight forward approach.  She enjoys working with owner managed businesses and has considerable experience in the tourism and business services sectors.

Before joining Shirlaws she worked in management consulting for 13 years, specialising in organisational development, strategic work and assisting growing businesses.  She also has experience working at director level in a successful family retail business.  Her earlier career was in international industrial sales and marketing with ICI plc.  Gaynor first came into contact with Shirlaws through her consultancy work and, consequently, decided to retrain and become a business coach.

A chartered management consultant (CMC) and a chartered member of the MCIPD, Gaynor also has an MBA from The University of Edinburgh.  Born in St. Andrews, married to a passionate cricket lover and with a lively young daughter, she enjoys swimming, eating out and, of course, playing golf.
