Jane joined Shirlaws in January 2009 following an 18 month period of being a Shirlaws' client.  Whilst her initial interest was in the more commercial aspects of coaching as a means of improving business performance, she soon realised that businesses will only truly thrive when the cultural aspects are aligned.  Jane is a passionate supporter of small and medium sized businesses, and is familiar with the often lonely challenges facing the entrepreneur.  She brings to Shirlaws a wealth of experience from both small and corporate businesses and together with the IP Shirlaws uses this to coach clients.  Her special area of interest is the process of building and scaling viable businesses from creative products or services.  

As a graduate in Food Science, Jane spent the first part of her career working for the Mars Corporation in a variety of roles, including Product Development, Manufacturing, Marketing and European Sales support.  Her career progressed through an entrepreneurial phase when she combined the joys and challenges of motherhood with those of creating and developing several start-up companies in the world of photography, publishing and marketing.

Very much a country girl at heart, Jane lives in rural Oxfordshire with her husband, two children and what feels like an ever expanding menagerie including horses, sheep and dogs.
