Marc Johnstone

Marc is brilliant at creating significant and accelerated share price increases for his clients by leveraging or restructuring existing assets and/or through the identification and creation of new opportunities.

Marc's background includes five years at PwC Sydney, three years in London with UBS and Credit Suisse and then Deutsche Bank Australia where he managed the origination and sales of equity derivative products.

Marc co-founded his first company at 29 in the financial services industry and upon partial sale left to join Shirlaws Coaching in 1999 - its foundation year.

Shirlaws Coaching is a leading international coaching firm that uses a portfolio of Intellectual Property Frameworks to provide significant out performance for its clients.

Shirlaws is now established is six countries, with 160 coaches and has clients across thirty seven countries.

In addition to coaching clients to increase their share price and create enjoyment for owners and staff, Marc has taken on many critical, pioneering strategic and leadership roles within the Shirlaws group so has first hand knowledge of what it takes to lead and develop a business..

Recently Marc has worked with a diverse range of clients from several of Kleiner Perkins Caulfield Byers iFund portfolio companies through to Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in Los Angeles and everything in between.

During the recovery, Marc is passionate about helping companies navigate the right choices to thrive in the short term and long term.

Marc is also a very sought after speaker and facilitator having led groups from 3 to 3,000 on four different continents.

An Australian, Marc resides in San Francisco with his Argentinean born, Australian raised wife Julia.

Marc recently served on the Board of the Bank of San Francisco. (www.bankofsf.com) for three years, is Chairman of the San Francisco Chapter of Advance - Australia's leading global expatriate community (www.advance.org), and is a member of the Keiretsu Forum, North America's largest Angel investment community (www.k4forum.com).

Marc's passions include community service, travel, watching rugby, skiing and being on, in or near the water.
