Lesley Aitken

Lesley Aitken

Lesley joined Shirlaws in 2009 after being a Shirlaws client since 2006.  Life is a journey of learning for Lesley who is committed to harnessing applied human spirit and transferring learnings into results for organisations.

With an enquiring mind and genuine interest and desire to generate commercial benefits through building the loyalty of customers, employees and stakeholders, Lesley's positive energy, sense of humour and passion for ‘finding better ways' has helped organisations and individuals through major transitions.

Lesley has 20 years of experience in leadership roles in sales and marketing for diverse service businesses including Qantas Airways; Travel Corporation Group; Pinpoint; Sydney Airport; Australian Institute of Management; Sydney Olympic Park Authority; and Australian International Hospitality Group.  This experience has included managing culturally and geographically diverse teams along with critical change such as 9/11, Ansett Airlines collapse and privatisation while at Sydney Airport, and has seen her motivate and energise teams for results through major change.

Lesley holds a degree in Psychology, a Masters of Business in Marketing, and is currently enrolled in the Masters of Business Coaching through the University of Wollongong.

Sharing a ‘treehouse' on Sydney's leafy north shore with partner, Rein, and ‘wild' dog, Jaffa, leisure time is spent together with friends and family in the bush, by the beach or paddling their canoe when Lesley isn't fulfilling her artistic passion for amateur sculpting.
