Karin Hawkins

Karin joined Shirlaws in 2009 bringing with her extensive experience in building culturally and commercially successful teams. Her passion and talent is to deliver strong commercial results in tandem with building a unifying culture of performance, growth and integrity which supports ongoing commercial success.

Previously a client of Shirlaws, Karin has extensive experience in corporate and mid tier financial service companies.  She has successfully held senior positions in all aspects of managing and running businesses including sales, strategy, performance management, culture and engagement, risk management and process re-engineering. Immediately prior to joining Shirlaws, Karin led a highly successful national sales team in ANZ which exceeded targets by identifying a profitable niche market and capturing it through innovative service delivery.

Lifelong learning, both formal and informal is one of Karin's key values. She holds masters degrees in policy and management and sits on the Australian Institute of Management's Managerial and Leadership Development Taskforce. She is an energising and engaging public speaker and is highly sought after for conferences, training and facilitation.

Karin has an eclectic range of interests. The perennials are good food, good wine, reading and yoga.  She is fascinated by people's stories and loves chatting over long, lazy al fresco lunches with partner Livio, friends and extended family.
