David Whyte

David Whyte is well known to many in the New Zealand financial services industry.

He has over three decades experience in senior management in the industry in the UK., Australia, and New Zealand. His experience as an adviser in the UK., and with major product provider companies in Australia and here in New Zealand, has led him to his current relationship with Shirlaws.

David served on the Financial Services Committee of the British Insurance Brokers Association, on the Board of the Investment Savings and Insurance Association (ISI) and on the Risk Committee of the Australian equivalent body, IFSA. He has also served on the Board of the Insurance and Savings Ombudsman scheme (ISO), and is on the Committee of the Pacific Insurance Conference (PIC).

He currently serves on the Board of Fidelity Life Assurance Company in New Zealand and acts as a coach and consultant to a number of organisations in NZ and Australia.

David took a joint honours degree in Politics and International Relations from his home-town University of Aberdeen in Scotland, obtained a post graduate qualification in Business Administration and was awarded a first class pass in his post-graduate Masters degree in Management, both from Massey University in New Zealand.
