Peter Harford

Peter is one of the founding partners of Shirlaws. He joined Darren Shirlaw in the Australian business, when it was first established in 1999, and was CEO of the UK business when it was set up in 2003.

Peter has considerable experience in working with companies in the legal, IFA, accounting and manufacturing sectors. Although he works across a range of business issues, he specialises in helping clients with strategic development and structuring businesses to maximise share value.

In particular he coaches Boards of Directors, both from a cultural perspective -developing optimum cohesion and defining relationships, and from a commercial perspective - turning the focus of the Board towards developing strategic direction for the company and away from tactical issues.
Peter also works with businesses involved in mergers and acquisitions or forming joint ventures, assisting with processes to identify successful commercial and cultural matching.
