Jacob spent most of the ‘noughties' developing his experience in the media, finance and property industries, gaining a reputation as a creative workplace trainer and an energetic business advisor. Attending his first Shirlaws event, he quickly realised that the Shirlaws frameworks, culture and brand would leverage his own passions to create personal and client results sooner.

Jacob initially joined the Shirlaws business in early 2006, delivering coaching outcomes for clients throughout Queensland, Australia for more than four years before moving to London and the Thames Valley in late 2010. His specialised projects include creating sustainable, internal training programs, and developing efficiency tools so that owners, managers and staff are held accountable and achieve profitable results.

His natural energy means Jacob works mainly with other emerging, energetic business leaders who want to grow their business, and enjoy continual learning and development.

Media and technology are lifelong interests - Jacob is a previous recipient of the University of Queensland Journalism Prize, has featured in more than a dozen short films, and has been writing the Shirlaws Blog since 2007. In 2009 Jacob was the MC for the Family Business Australia Queensland summit, and a presenter at the Email Marketing Summit Australia. In 2010 he was a guest speaker on social media sustainability at the Shirlaws National Conference.

It's not hard to convince Jacob to chill out - he once held a Guinness World Record for non-stop movie-watching - and when he's not helping clients you will often find him (and, where possible, his beautiful wife) enjoying a coffee on the Clapham High Street.
