Tony joined Shirlaws as a business coach and lead trainer in 2005. For 10 years, Tony's enthusiasm for creating success in small to medium-sized businesses has successfully aligned business executives with their driving passions, delivering strong commercial and cultural outcomes.

Prior to joining Shirlaws Tony was Founder and Principal of 30Thousand Feet Consulting, a business coaching and consulting firm delivering a big-picture perspective to small business owners, leveraging his design and manufacturing background. He cut his teeth in the business world at age 26 by forming Splinter Design, operating as CEO of the world-class furniture and product design firm for the next decade. He worked as a design engineer for Saturn Corporation and as a Silicon Valley product designer, contributing dozens of groundbreaking advancements to the fields of technology and consumer products and earning several patents.

A graduate of Cornell University, Tony resides in San Francisco. He is a certified mediator, an active volunteer for community-based organizations, the father of two young children, and when he gets around to it, an avid skier and snowboarder.
